Historia del Fundo
François Villard, a renowned winemaker from the Northern Rhône, is known for his meticulous work and expressive wines that highlight each terroir’s identity. With “Fruit d’Avilleran,” he offers a pure expression of Marsanne from Saint-Joseph, focusing on balance, freshness, and aromatic complexity.
Terruño
The Marsanne grapes for “Fruit d’Avilleran” come from steep granite slopes in the Saint-Joseph appellation. This terroir, with excellent sun exposure and poor, well-drained soils, promotes concentration, minerality, and vibrant acidity, perfect for crafting elegant Rhône whites.
Notas de cata
Pale gold color with green reflections. The nose is fresh and delicate, revealing aromas of white flowers, quince, citrus zest, and honeyed almonds. On the palate, the wine is round and silky, with juicy fruit, balanced acidity, and a long, mineral finish.
A refined and expressive Saint-Joseph white — pure Marsanne with beautiful freshness, aromatic precision, and aging potential.
Maridaje
Perfect with roasted chicken, grilled fish, scallops, creamy risottos, or soft cheeses like Saint-Marcellin.
