Histoire du domaine\u202f<\/h3>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Gruaud Larose, a 2nd Growth in the 1855 classification, is one of the most historic and respected estates of Saint-Julien, Bordeaux. The second wine, **Sarget de Gruaud Larose**, takes its name from Abb\u00e9 Sarget, one of the estate’s 19th-century owners, and offers an accessible yet elegant expression of the ch\u00e2teau\u2019s terroir. Produced with the same care as the Grand Vin, Sarget delivers balance, fruit-driven charm, and aging potential.<\/p>\n

Terroir\u202f<\/h3>\n

The vineyards of Gruaud Larose lie on the deep gravel soils of Saint-Julien, perfectly suited for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This classic Left Bank terroir provides excellent drainage and heat retention, allowing for slow, even ripening and contributing to the wine\u2019s structure, complexity, and finesse.<\/p>\n

Notes de d\u00e9gustation<\/h3>\n

Deep garnet red color. The nose is elegant and expressive, showing aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, tobacco, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins, juicy dark fruit, and a balanced, fresh finish highlighted by hints of spice and graphite.<\/p>\n

Vinification & \u00c9levage<\/h3>\n

Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Aged in French oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new oak, for around 14 months. The process respects the fruit and structure, ensuring elegance and drinkability.<\/p>\n
