Estate History

FrèreJean Frères is a family-run Champagne house dedicated to crafting fine cuvées that showcase the elegance and purity of Premier Cru terroirs. Focused on long aging and low dosage, the estate emphasizes finesse, precision, and tradition. The vintage **”Hussards” 2012** pays tribute to the light cavalry soldiers, symbolizing strength and refinement, much like the character of this exceptional Champagne.

Terroir

The grapes are sourced from Premier Cru classified vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Chalky limestone soils and cool climate conditions bring minerality, freshness, and balance, essential for crafting a vintage Champagne with great aging potential and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Pale golden color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is elegant and complex, offering aromas of white peach, candied lemon, almond, brioche, and delicate floral hints. On the palate, the wine is precise and creamy, with fresh acidity, layered fruit, and a long, mineral, and vibrant finish.

A refined and structured vintage Champagne — combining power, elegance, and freshness, with exceptional balance and aging capacity.

Pairing

Perfect as an aperitif, or paired with lobster, scallops, sushi, roasted poultry, or aged cheeses like Comté or Parmesan.
