Estate History

FrèreJean Frères is an independent family Champagne house known for its focus on elegance, terroir expression, and long aging on lees. Working exclusively with Premier Cru vineyards, the house blends tradition and precision to create refined Champagnes. This **2006 Extra Brut Premier Cru** cuvée showcases the aging potential of Champagne with minimal dosage, offering purity and complexity.

Terroir

Grapes are sourced from Premier Cru classified vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. The chalky soils contribute to finesse, tension, and minerality, while the cool climate ensures vibrant acidity — key for a long-lived vintage Champagne.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant golden color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is complex and mature, revealing aromas of toasted brioche, candied citrus, honey, almond, and delicate white flowers. On the palate, the wine is structured and elegant, with creamy texture, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral finish enhanced by notes of dried fruits and subtle spice.

A sophisticated vintage Extra Brut — beautifully aged, combining freshness, complexity, and finesse, with exceptional balance and aging potential.

Pairing

Perfect with lobster, scallops, roasted poultry, truffle dishes, or aged cheeses like Comté or Parmesan.
