Few words about this wine

We hardly find 100% Marsanne wine in the Taiwan market, this wine is a great way to introduce your palate to the pure taste of this underestimated grape variety. The color is yellow, bright and intense.

Why I like this wine

It has a beautiful Bouquet of exotic fruits (mango, pineapple) and cooked stone fruits (peach, apricot), with a hint of flowers on the nose. The wine on the palate is broad, rich and round, with a well-developed texture (cooked stone fruits, orange marmalade). Alcohol level is high but well balanced with a pronounced acidity.

Winery

François Villard

The estate was created from scratch in 1989, at the instigation of François Villard, who is still at the head of the estate today.
Trained as a cook, François Villard became passionate about wine at the age of 20. Not knowing how to integrate the world of wine, he did a year of Brevet Professionnel in sommellerie at Tain l’Hermitage. These encounters were decisive and gave him the desire to become a winemaker.
Afterwards, he enrolled in Davayé, with a view to obtaining the Brevet Professionnel Agricole, option viticulture and oenology.
At the same time, he began to acquire his first fallow plots of land in the commune of St Michel in the Condrieu Appellation. The first vine was planted in the spring of 1989, as soon as he obtained his patent. The first Condrieu was produced in 1991 and the first 400 bottles were put on the market in autumn 1992.
While his first vinifications took place in Verlieu, in a cellar behind Yves Cuilleron’s, he decided to have his own building built in 1996 in St Michel Sur Rhône.
