Rosso del Bepi is one of Quintarelli’s appassimento wines (dried grapes). His Amarone is only made in great years.

The attention to detail along the way is staggering, and the end result is a sublime wine. For all its concentration and intensity, it is never heavy, instead it’s remarkably pure and complex. Yes, no doubt, it is a heady wine of utter indulgence and totally profound. Dense and dark with ethereal notes of liqueur cherries, brambles, hedgerows and wildflowers with high notes of minerality. The acidity and the tannins will allow this to age gracefully over decades, at the moment it is just pure hedonism.
