Contame is the wine project of former football coach Nevio Scala, who turned his passion for the land into a small artisanal estate in Veneto. With a deep respect for nature and tradition, the Scala family produces limited quantities of natural wines that reflect the authenticity of the local terroir.<\/p>\n

The vineyards are located in the Euganean Hills, where volcanic soils and temperate breezes contribute to healthy ripening and complex expressions. The combination of Merlot and the native Raboso grape offers both softness and vibrant acidity.<\/p>\n

Maceration (skin-contact) has been used in the making of this wine, in order to extract extra flavours from the skin. Pale amber in colour with a touch of orange hue.<\/p>\n

Aromas is concentrated and pungent with blood orange, tangelo, mandarin, grape fruit, pomegranate, herbs (sage, tarragon, rosemary) and some longan honey and sour dough. Dry and crispy on the palate with sun-dried herbs and a touch of forest floor. Unroasted mix nuts, candied dry orange slice and dried flowers on the finish.<\/p>\n
