Nyctimene Château Bouissel 2017


Clay soil and stony boulbens and some gravel on a plateau exposed to the wind wich allows good ventilation of the vines, Mediterranean and oceanic climate. 2088 hours of sunshine over the year with an average temperature of 20°C, annual rainfall 740mm.

The bunches are de-stemmed then begin their alcoholic fermentation below 25°C for 10 days in temperature-controlled stainless- steel vats, post-fermentation maceration for 8 days. Aging 12 months in steel vats and 12 months in concrete tank. Unflitred, not fined during ageing, light fining before bottling with potato protein

This wine is fruity and freshness will accompagny the moments of relaxation around a glass of wine. Tapas and traditional food will be best allies. Service: between 16 and 18°C.


Pruning of the vine in Guyot-poussard. Yield 45HL/Hectare. Fertilization of the soil with fava beans in winter and spreading of manure in spring. Mechanical tillage, de- budding and manual thinning. Leaf stripping on the rising sun side. Fresh harvest.

Aromas of fresh red fruits, liquorice, flowers and spice. A noise of black cherries and delicate flowers. The palate with character of aromatic intensity accompanied by very velvety tannins.
