The vineyard is located on the Montagne de Pommard ridge, with the vines facing east or southeast, at a relatively high altitude of between 240 and 380 meters. The soil is dark brown with a few limestone fragments and is not very thick, so that the vines can easily grow deeper into the soil and obtain a wealth of minerals and trace elements from the bedrock.

Deep red, dark crimson-ruby hue. The nose is dominated by aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, cherry stone and ripe plum. It develops wild, almost feline, characteristics over time. Bottle age lends it notes of leather, chocolate and pepper. This wine requires time in order to reach its full potential and reveal its round texture and strong, virile structure. A remarkably rich wine. Les Chanlins certainly has its feet firmly rooted in Pommard!
