Domaine History

Located in the heart of Burgundy’s prestigious vineyards, Domaine Douhairet Porcheret has upheld a tradition of family excellence for nearly 350 years. Today, the estate is managed by Cataldina and Vincent, a passionate and joyful duo who oversee every step of the process — from the vineyard to the final sale of their wines. Their philosophy combines deep respect for the terroir and traditions with the thoughtful use of modern techniques, always striving to enhance the quality and authenticity of their wines.

Terroir

The Pinot Noir vines for this cuvée are planted on clay-limestone soils on the slopes of Monthélie, nestled between Meursault and Volnay. These old vines, over 70 years of age, produce low yields with highly concentrated grapes, offering depth, complexity, and mineral finesse.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose is delicate and complex, revealing aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petals, and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is silky and vibrant, with fine tannins, lively acidity, and a long, elegant finish.

An expressive and graceful Pinot Noir from old vines, combining aromatic purity, finesse, and beautiful aging potential — a true reflection of Monthélie’s terroir.

Vinification & Aging

Manual harvest, traditional vinification with native yeasts, and 18 months of aging in French oak barrels. Minimal intervention ensures the purity of the fruit and the integrity of the terroir.

Pairing

Perfect with roast poultry, duck breast, veal, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert.
