Moulin à vent Rochegrès Maison Le NID 2018
Moulin À Vent is arguably the most famous Beaujolais cru and is producing some of the most concentrated and tannic wines from the region. The color of this wine is medium purple. Fragrant and fresh on the nose with plenty of red fruit mix (raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, red cherry, pomegranate), fresh herbs (rosemary in particular), vanilla and is joined with loads of floral notes (lavender). Elegant and supple on the palate with silky tannin, the touch of savouriness, and oak characters. Cranberry, a hint of vanilla and lavender on the Finish.
From Western cuisine: Mushroom risotto, braised quails with wild mushrooms
From Taiwan cuisine: Stir-fried beef sirloin with scallions and ginger
Cheese pairing: A soft, cow milk made Camembert from Normandy, France. Or a semi-hard, cow milk made Comté from France.
