Saint-Véran Vieilles Vignes 2018
Fermentation takes place exclusively in barrels (of which less than 10% were new), and aged with fine lees until spring next year. The wine is medium straw in colour. Aromas is elegant and beautiful with nectarine, apricot, bosc pear, quince, yellow apple, mix fresh herbs (basil, tarragon), green grass, white flowers, wood smoke and a touch of toast. Round and almost “buttery” on the palate with luscious mouthfeel, gentle/stone fruit-like acidity and notes of apricot, chamomile and hint of lemon peel. An excellent combination of citrus and stone fruit characters on the finish, sprinkled with notes of orange blossom and toast.
