Saven DOC Palmela Azul Portugal 2018
Castelão (a.k.a. Periquita in Portugal) is a thick-skinned black grape and is one of the most planted varietal in Portugal. Touriga Nacional is one of the most iconic grape varieties in Portugal and is usually used in making Port wine. The wine is deep ruby in colour with a touch of garnet rim. Aromas is vibrant and lively with boysenberry, red cherry, cranberry, redcurrant, joined by fresh herbs (sage), vanilla bean, sweet oak and violet. Soft and gentle on the palate with supple tannin and lovely vanilla note. More vanilla bean and floral characters on the Finish with some dry red fruits
