Speri Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sant’Urbano 2017

This cuveé is from a single vineyard site named “Sant’Urbano”, the grapes are left to dry for 10-15 days before fermentation to concentrate the flavors and enrich the aromas. The wine shows a deep ruby color with a ruby hue: its perfumes of cooked dark berries (plum, blackberry, cherry and raisin), followed by herb/ spice notes such as sage, mint and cardamom. With 24 months aging in the French oak barrel, you can also perceive dark chocolate and vanilla aromas. The wine is round and rich in the mouth: candied fruit flavor (blackcurrant and plum) well integrated with cacao, cinnamon and cardamom. It has a medium plus structured body, silky tannin and a good level of acidity. A well-made Valpolicella Classico Superiore, very complex and tasty.
