Domaine History

Based in the southwest of France, Lionel Osmin & Cie is dedicated to highlighting the diversity and richness of the region’s native grape varieties. Through careful vineyard selection and respectful winemaking, the estate offers authentic wines that reflect the true identity of each cépage.

Terroir

Harvested from selected plots in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the Tannat vines grow on clay-limestone soils. This terroir, combined with good sun exposure and cool nights, allows full ripening while preserving structure and balance — ideal conditions for the powerful Tannat grape.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby color with violet highlights. The nose reveals intense aromas of black fruits, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with firm but well-integrated tannins, juicy black fruit flavors, and a long, persistent finish with spicy notes.

A powerful and expressive Tannat, perfectly balanced between strength and finesse — a beautiful showcase of this emblematic grape variety from Southwest France.

Pairing

Ideal with grilled meats, duck confit, cassoulet, or aged cheeses like Ossau-Iraty.
