The wine is deep ruby in colour with a hint of garnet. Aromas is starting to demonstrate tertiary characters such as dried blackberry, forest floor, mushroom, tobacco leaf, wet leaves and cured meat like savouriness; together with fresh black cherry, black berry, blueberry, plum, wood smoke, toast, and a hint of mint. Palate is very well structured with firm yet elegant tannin and attractive notes of cedar, sweet spices (nutmeg and cloves in particular), dark chocolate, roasted coffee bean and a touch of dried herbs. Finish is subtle and fairly complex with cherry, cherry cream, toffee and some vanilla.
