Domaine History

Domaine du Clos des Fées, created by Hervé Bizeul in the heart of Roussillon, has quickly risen to cult status thanks to its uncompromising approach to quality and terroir expression. **La Petite Sibérie**, the estate’s most prestigious cuvée, comes from a tiny parcel of century-old Grenache vines exposed to the cold northern winds that inspired its name. This wine is produced in very limited quantities, symbolizing power, precision, and elegance.

Terroir

La Petite Sibérie is sourced from a unique vineyard planted on clay-limestone and schist soils in the Agly Valley. The site is exposed to strong Tramontane winds, providing natural freshness and concentrating the grapes. The very low yields from these old vines contribute to the wine’s exceptional depth and intensity.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal maturity and vinified with great care. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, with regular topping to avoid oxidation. Bottling is done without fining or filtration, preserving the purity and concentration of the blend. Production remains extremely limited, making each bottle a rare collector’s item.

Tasting Notes

La Petite Sibérie 2016 is a powerful and rich wine, showing intense aromas of ripe black fruits, figs, sweet spices, licorice, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is dense and velvety, with exceptional length balanced by vibrant freshness that lifts and energizes the entire tasting experience. This is a racy wine of incredible balance, depth, and class.

A monumental southern blend, powerful yet elegant, with superb balance between richness and freshness—crafted for long aging and unforgettable moments.

Pairing
