Dense, deep ruby in colour. Aromas is concentrated and rich with ripened black cherry, cassis, blackberry, black plum, sweet spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, licorice, sun-dried herbs, dark chocolate, sweet oak, toast and a touch of mint and vanilla bean. Well balance on the palate with generous black fruit characters (black cherry and cassis in particular), sweet spices and luscious tannin. Cherry, blue berry and cinnamon on the finish. (And) that little drizzle of burnt wood/toast/wood smoke on the very end is absolutely adorable.
