Domaine History
Thibaud Boudignon is one of the rising stars of the Loire Valley. A former judo athlete turned winemaker, Boudignon trained in Burgundy and Bordeaux before establishing his estate in Savennières. His meticulous vineyard work and minimal intervention in the cellar have quickly earned him cult status among sommeliers and collectors worldwide.
Terroir
Grown in the Anjou region, this Chenin Blanc comes from schist and volcanic soils with a high mineral content. The combination of poor, rocky soil and a cool climate yields grapes with striking acidity and structure. Boudignon’s precise vineyard management ensures low yields and maximum expression of place.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale yellow in the glass. The nose is intense and pure, offering aromas of white peach, pear, crushed stones, and a delicate hint of florals. On the palate, it’s crystalline and taut, with mouthwatering acidity, a chalky texture, and a long, saline finish.
A razor-sharp, mineral-driven Chenin Blanc that showcases elegance, tension, and remarkable aging potential.
Pairing
Perfect with shellfish, goat cheese, lemony chicken dishes, or lightly spiced Thai cuisine.
