História do Château

Located in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, Château Poujeaux has a long-standing reputation for producing wines of great finesse and balance. The estate, with origins dating back to the 16th century, is today owned by the Cuvelier family, also proprietors of Clos Fourtet in Saint-Émilion. Château Poujeaux is renowned for its meticulous vineyard management and modern winemaking techniques, crafting wines that faithfully express the character of their terroir.


Terroir

The vineyards of Château Poujeaux are planted on Günz gravel soils, known for excellent drainage and heat retention. This unique terroir, combined with the temperate oceanic climate of the Médoc, allows Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to reach full ripeness, ensuring concentration, freshness, and elegance in the wines.


Notas de degustação

Deep garnet color with purple highlights. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and hints of graphite and spice. On the palate, the wine is well-structured and silky, with fine-grained tannins and a persistent, harmonious finish.
