Winery History
Águia Moura is a family-owned winery located in Portugal’s prestigious Douro Valley, one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions. Combining traditional viticulture with modern winemaking techniques, the estate produces expressive wines that reflect the unique character of the Douro while preserving the authenticity of its native grape varieties.
Terroir
The vineyards are planted on the steep schist slopes of the Douro DOC, where low-yielding vines benefit from warm days and cool nights. The 2018 vintage produced balanced, concentrated grapes, allowing the wine to develop remarkable freshness alongside generous fruit expression.
Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in color with golden reflections. The nose reveals aromas of white peach, citrus zest, ripe pear, and delicate floral notes, complemented by subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is fresh and well-balanced, offering vibrant acidity, a silky texture, and a persistent finish with hints of stone fruit and citrus.
An elegant and refined Douro Reserva Branco, combining freshness, richness, and the distinctive minerality of Portugal’s iconic Douro Valley.
Pairing
Perfect with grilled fish, seafood, creamy poultry dishes, fresh cheeses, risotto, or Mediterranean cuisine.
