Estate History

Located in Fleys, near the village of Chablis, **Domaine Grossot** has been a family estate for three generations, recognized for producing precise and terroir-driven wines. The **Chablis 1er Cru “Vaucoupin” 2019** comes from one of the lesser-known yet highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards on the right bank of the Serein River, offering a Chardonnay that combines elegance, tension, and minerality.

Terroir

The **Vaucoupin** vineyard features steep slopes with south and southeast exposures, planted on Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in fossilized marine sediments. These conditions allow the Chardonnay to achieve perfect ripeness while preserving vibrant acidity and a distinctive mineral backbone.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant pale gold color with green highlights. The nose is fresh and pure, revealing aromas of lemon zest, white peach, green apple, and wet stone minerality. On the palate, the wine is lively and elegant, with crisp acidity, good texture, and a long, saline, mineral-driven finish.

A fresh and mineral Chablis 1er Cru — precise, vibrant, and elegant, true to the signature style of Domaine Grossot.

Pairing

Ideal with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, or goat cheese. Also excellent with sushi, ceviche, or vegetable-based dishes.
