Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger were the last born of a line of cannon makers who supplied the French army against Prussian attacks during the Napoleonic wars.
Their approach to champagne is different, rich in the expertise of a family champagne team that respects traditional methods, while being open to innovation.
The fruit of the unique terroir of the Côte des Blancs region, their wines are of character, both complex and elegant, produced only in premier and grand cru. Our production process honors the land to the earth, limiting the use of chemicals to a minimum, using the minimum of pesticides on our vines

Originally from Switzerland, the Frey family settled in Dambach-la-Ville at the beginning of the 18th century with the ambition of growing vine.
In 1997, after several years of research and being convinced by naturally organic viticulture, the entire farm was converted into a biodynamic agriculture, which made Charles Frey become one of the pioneers in Alsace.
With the reputation of the hardworking spirit, The Frey family is also recognized as one of the finest Alsace wineries.

François Villard, awarded two stars and highly commended by Wine Spectator and La Revue du Vin de France’s “Le Classement des Meilleurs Vins de France”, produces red and white wines in the north of the Rhône valley.
Their vineyard is kept in its most natural state by minimizing the yield of red wines and strictly requiring the ripeness of the grapes for white wines.
The organic method of improving the soil and hand weeding is one of the secrets of Villard’s great wines. The winery also deliberately keeps the weeds on the top of the slope to retain the topsoil, so that the vineyards are less susceptible to heavy rains.
