Domaine History

Château Lagrange, classified as a Third Growth in 1855, is a prestigious estate located in Saint-Julien, Bordeaux. “Le Haut-Médoc de Lagrange” is the château’s expression of the neighboring Haut-Médoc appellation, crafted with the same care and expertise as their classified growth wines.

Terroir

The vineyards for this cuvée are situated on gravelly soils with clay-limestone subsoils, ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. These well-drained plots contribute to the wine’s structure, elegance, and aging capacity.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby color with garnet reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of black cherry, cassis, tobacco, and delicate oak spices. The palate is smooth and well-balanced, with fine tannins and a fresh, lingering finish.

Elegant and accessible, showcasing the finesse of the Médoc with a harmonious blend of fruit and structure.

Pairing

Best enjoyed with grilled meats, roast beef, duck confit, or mature cheeses such as Tomme de Savoie or aged Cheddar.
