Domaine History

Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot, based in Pommard, is renowned for producing elegant and precise wines from some of Burgundy’s finest appellations. Coming from a prestigious Burgundian family and former winemaker at Olivier Leflaive, Jean-Marc Boillot established his own estate in 1985. Known for his meticulous vineyard work and balance between tradition and modernity, Boillot crafts terroir-driven wines that reflect purity and finesse.

Terroir

The Premier Cru “Montrevenots” vineyard is located on the slopes adjacent to Pommard, sharing similar clay-limestone soils. This terroir, with excellent exposure and drainage, provides the Pinot Noir grapes with structure, aromatic complexity, and the ability to age gracefully, while maintaining freshness and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby red color. The nose is expressive and delicate, showing aromas of red cherries, raspberries, rose petals, and light spice. On the palate, the wine is elegant and well-balanced, offering silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, refined finish with subtle mineral notes.

A graceful Premier Cru from Beaune, combining aromatic purity, silky texture, and aging potential — a true expression of Jean-Marc Boillot’s signature style.

Vinification & Aging

Manual harvest with careful sorting. Traditional vinification with gentle extraction to preserve fruit and elegance. Aging in French oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new oak, for about 12 to 18 months, enhancing complexity while maintaining balance.

Pairing

Perfect with roast poultry, duck breast, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
