Domaine History

With roots dating back to Roman times, Château Mont-Redon has long been a benchmark estate in the southern Rhône Valley. Although best known for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, the estate has extended its expertise to Gigondas, where it applies the same rigorous standards to produce wines of depth and distinction.

Terroir

Gigondas vineyards are located on the rocky slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, with soils of limestone and red clay. The elevation and exposure bring freshness and complexity, while the Mediterranean climate ensures optimal ripening for the classic Rhône varietals.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color. The nose opens with aromas of black cherries, dried herbs, and subtle oak. The palate is rich and structured, offering flavors of dark fruit, licorice, and hints of spice, supported by firm yet integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish.

A bold and harmonious red Rhône blend with great aging potential and undeniable character.

Perfect with lamb shank, duck breast, beef stew, or aged cheeses.
