Domaine History

Domaine Dugat-Py, one of the most respected names in Gevrey-Chambertin, is known for its powerful, age-worthy wines from old vines. The family’s heritage, deeply rooted in Burgundy, emphasizes low yields, organic farming, and meticulous vinification.

Terroir

“Les Corbeaux” is a Premier Cru vineyard bordering the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin, with clay-limestone soils ideal for Pinot Noir. The vines, over 70 years old, produce small, concentrated berries, offering depth, structure, and complexity to the wine.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby color with garnet edges. The nose is intense, showing black cherry, cassis, licorice, earthy tones, and hints of spice. The palate is rich and concentrated, with firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish.

An exceptional Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru from very old vines — powerful, structured, and built for long-term aging.

Pairing

Ideal with game meats, roast lamb, beef Wellington, or mature cheeses like Époisses or Comté. A superb wine for refined gastronomy.
