Estate History

Founded in 1443, the **Hospices de Beaune** is one of Burgundy’s most historic wine estates, known for its annual charity auction of prestigious cuvées. The **Meursault “Cuvée Loppin” 2020**, aged by **Gabriel Ardhuy** and exclusively acquired by **Vavin**, expresses the elegance and richness of Meursault’s renowned Chardonnay, crafted with care to highlight its pure Burgundian identity.

Terroir

Planted on the classic clay-limestone soils of **Meursault**, the vines benefit from excellent sun exposure and ideal drainage. This terroir imparts the wine with a perfect balance between opulence and freshness, giving structure and aromatic complexity to the Chardonnay grapes, further enhanced by the precise élevage of Gabriel Ardhuy.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant pale gold color with green highlights. The nose is elegant and expressive, revealing aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, pear, and toasted hazelnuts with delicate buttery notes. On the palate, the wine is round and creamy, balanced by fresh acidity, with a long, mineral, and slightly saline finish.

A generous and refined Meursault — aged by Gabriel Ardhuy and acquired by Vavin, combining richness, aromatic purity, and finesse with excellent aging potential.

Pairing

Perfect with grilled lobster, scallops, creamy poultry dishes, or soft cheeses like Brie and Chaource. Ideal for festive meals or cellaring.
