Straw in color with a hint of pale golden hue. Gentle and vibrant on the nose with loads of citrus (lime, lemon), fresh stone fruits (apricot in particular), lime peel, orange zest, lemon meringue, candied orange zest, wet stone-like minerality and a touch of lime-cream. Palate is crispy and straightforward with plenty of lime, lemon, citrus freshness, lime zest and a drizzle a hint of untoasted mix nuts & sweet spices. Mandarin, dried orange slice and wood toast/smoke on the finish. Dennis Wolf (founder of Weingut Wolf) was born in a winemaking family who has generations of history. However, Dennis wanted to peruse his own philosophy (a lot in the vineyard, little in the cellar) and have started his own establishment. He has extensive winemaking experience and has worked in many top notch wineries such as Weingut Keller, Domaine Ostertag, Domaine Jean-Louis Chave and many more. This Riesling has been aged in barrel for 2 years, which is extremely rare for this particular grape variety.
