Estate History
FrèreJean Frères is an independent family-run Champagne house renowned for its elegant, terroir-driven cuvées. Crafted from some of the finest Grand Cru vineyards, the **”VV26″** cuvée takes its name from the oldest vines of the domaine, planted in 1926. This prestige Champagne embodies the house’s philosophy of long aging, low dosage, and respect for tradition, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth and complexity.
Terroir
The grapes for “VV26” come exclusively from Grand Cru classified parcels, primarily from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. The chalky limestone soils and old vines contribute to exceptional concentration, minerality, and aromatic purity, while the cool climate of Champagne preserves acidity and elegance.
Tasting Notes
Pale golden color with ultra-fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is intense and layered, offering aromas of white peach, citrus zest, toasted almonds, brioche, and honeyed notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and precise, with creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral finish enhanced by delicate oxidative complexity from extended aging on lees.
A powerful and elegant Grand Cru Champagne — crafted from old vines for exceptional concentration, purity, and longevity.
Pairing
Ideal with caviar, lobster, scallops, truffle-based dishes, or simply enjoyed as a meditation Champagne.
