Estate History
Founded in 1868, **Domaine Jacques Prieur** has established itself among Burgundy’s finest producers, with vineyard holdings across the region’s most prestigious Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. The **Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Combettes”** is one of the estate’s standout whites, offering an elegant and mineral expression of Chardonnay from one of Puligny’s most renowned Premier Cru sites.
Terroir
The **”Les Combettes”** Premier Cru lies on the slopes of **Puligny-Montrachet**, on clay-limestone soils with excellent drainage. Benefiting from a favorable southeast exposure, the vineyard allows slow, balanced ripening, giving the wine its characteristic tension, aromatic purity, and finesse.
Tasting Notes
Bright golden color with green highlights. The nose is delicate and complex, revealing aromas of citrus zest, white peach, acacia flowers, and roasted hazelnuts, with fine mineral undertones. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and creamy, with well-integrated acidity and a long, elegant, mineral-laced finish.
A refined Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru — elegant, precise, and mineral, crafted with the savoir-faire of Jacques Prieur and built for graceful aging.
Pairing
Perfect with grilled lobster, scallops, poultry with cream sauce, or aged cheeses like Comté and Beaufort. Excellent for festive occasions or cellaring.
