Producer Overview
**Marcobarba**, led by Marco Barba and his “Barbaboyz,” is a social and viticultural project based in the **Veneto region** of Italy. Inspired by the philosophy of natural winemaking and biodynamic farming, the estate revitalizes small parcels of abandoned vineyards in **Gambellara** and the **Berici Hills**. The wines are crafted with minimal intervention, focusing on purity, simplicity, and drinkability.
Terroir
The vineyards are situated between the volcanic soils of **Gambellara** and the limestone-rich **Berici Hills**, offering a mix of minerality and freshness. Biodynamic practices and respect for biodiversity enhance the health of the vines and the vibrancy of the fruit, resulting in wines that are deeply connected to their land.
Winemaking
Grapes are **harvested by hand** and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with no fining or filtration and only minimal sulfur added at bottling. This low-intervention approach allows the wine to express its full aromatic character and natural freshness.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with bright reflections. The nose is **fresh and aromatic**, with notes of **white flowers, green apple, citrus fruits**, and a touch of **herbal nuances**. On the palate, the wine is **light, vibrant, and juicy**, offering crisp acidity, a gentle texture, and a lively, fruit-driven finish. The **2021 vintage** showcases energy, simplicity, and natural charm.
A fun and easy-drinking natural white—fresh, fruity, and pure, crafted with minimal intervention and biodynamic care.
Pairing
