Domaine History

Established in 1904 in the heart of the Languedoc, Domaine Les Creisses is a historic family estate led by Philippe Chesnelong, with the expertise of Louis Mitjavile. The domaine is renowned for crafting structured and generous wines, shaped by Mediterranean influences and thoughtful vineyard care.

Terroir

The vineyards of Les Brunes are planted on clay-limestone and volcanic basalt soils, which contribute structure, depth, and minerality. The Mediterranean climate, tempered by cool breezes from the nearby mountains, allows for optimal ripening while preserving natural acidity.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in color. The nose opens with black raspberry, white pepper, leather, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, expect a full-bodied yet elegant Syrah, with velvety tannins and a long, polished finish.

An expressive, biodynamic Syrah-driven Rhône red—rich, complex, and beautifully balanced.

Pairing

Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef stew, duck confit, or aged cheeses like Comté or Manchego.
