Neipperg Bordeaux Collection White 2014

This wine is crafted by Stephan von Neipperg (proprietor of the famous Saint Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé – Chateau Cannon la Gaffelière). Medium gold in colour. Juicy and floral on the nose with sweet tropical fruits (pineapple, wax apple, passion fruit, guava), Nashi pear, sweet stone fruits (peach, nectarine), grapefruit, sweet herbs, loads of white flowers and a hint of grass and honey. After a decade of aging, the wine is still fresh on the palate and has matured gracefully with characters of ripened stone fruits, honey and butter cream. Mouthwatering with delicate, citrus fruit like acidity. Quince, yellow apple, green pear, mandarin and white flowers on the finish. An excellent example of a well-aged AOC Bordeaux white wine made with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, and is currently showing slightly more Semillon characters than its counterpart.
