Historia de la bodega

Château du Cèdre, a flagship estate of the Cahors appellation, has been owned and managed by the Verhaeghe family for several generations. Committed to organic farming and respectful of the terroir, the estate focuses on producing wines that reflect the power, elegance, and depth of Malbec, the emblematic grape of Cahors.

Terruño

The vineyards are located on the limestone plateau and clay-limestone slopes of Cahors, with excellent sun exposure and natural drainage. This terroir provides ideal conditions for Malbec, allowing the grape to develop concentration, structure, and aromatic complexity.

Notas de cata

Deep garnet color with violet reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberries, plums, licorice, and spices, with a hint of graphite. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with velvety tannins, balanced freshness, and a long, complex finish.

A majestic and expressive Malbec, combining power, finesse, and remarkable aging potential.
