Château History
Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Médoc classification, Château Lynch Moussas is located in the prestigious Pauillac appellation. Owned by the Castéja family since the early 20th century, the estate has undergone significant modernization while remaining faithful to its heritage. The château focuses on producing wines that combine power, balance, and elegance, reflecting the unique terroir of Pauillac.
Terroir
The vineyard stretches over deep gravel soils typical of Pauillac, offering excellent drainage and heat retention. This terroir, coupled with the influence of the nearby Gironde estuary, creates optimal conditions for the slow and even ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby color with purple hues. The bouquet reveals aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and subtle notes of tobacco and cedar. On the palate, the wine is structured and generous, with firm yet polished tannins and a long, balanced finish.
