Estate History

Founded in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and now led by his son Paul, Maison Aegerter has established itself as a producer of fine, terroir-driven Burgundy wines. The **Corton-Vergennes Grand Cru** represents the pinnacle of their white wine production, showcasing the exceptional potential of Chardonnay from one of the few Grand Cru sites dedicated to white wines on the Corton hill.

Terroir

Located on the famous Corton hill, the **Vergennes** climat benefits from limestone-rich soils with excellent sun exposure. This Grand Cru site provides optimal conditions for Chardonnay to express power, complexity, and elegance, while preserving its natural freshness and minerality.

Tasting Notes

Bright golden color with subtle green reflections. The nose is rich and complex, revealing aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, pear, toasted hazelnut, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish.

A majestic Corton Grand Cru — combining richness, minerality, and finesse, with excellent aging potential, especially in Magnum format.

Pairing

Perfect with lobster, scallops, turbot with beurre blanc, creamy poultry dishes, or aged cheeses like Comté or Beaufort.
