Domaine History

Maison Le NID, based in Romanèche-Thorins, produces wines with precision and respect for Beaujolais terroirs. The estate focuses on low yields and traditional vinification to highlight the unique expression of each parcel, including the prestigious Rochegrès climat of Moulin-à-Vent.

Terroir

‘Rochegrès’ is one of the most renowned climats of Moulin-à-Vent, characterized by granite soils rich in manganese. This terroir contributes to the wine’s structure, complexity, and excellent aging potential, while preserving freshness and aromatic intensity.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color with purple hues. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, plum, peony, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet refined, with silky tannins, vibrant fruit, and a long, mineral-driven finish.

An elegant and concentrated Moulin-à-Vent from the Rochegrès climat, showing both depth and finesse — ideal for cellaring or immediate enjoyment.

Pairing

Excellent with game birds, roasted meats, duck confit, or mature cheeses.
