Domaine History

Château Bellegrave is located in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux. The estate benefits from centuries of winemaking tradition, producing elegant and structured wines that reflect the finesse and complexity of this renowned terroir.

Terroir

The vineyards are planted on deep gravel soils, characteristic of the Médoc region, providing excellent drainage and heat retention. This unique terroir enhances the ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, contributing to the wine’s balance and aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color with slight brick reflections from bottle aging. Complex bouquet of blackcurrant, cedarwood, leather, and earthy notes. The palate is well-structured with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and elegant evolution, leading to a long and refined finish.

Mature and harmonious, combining depth, finesse, and a beautiful aromatic complexity.

Pairing

Ideal with roasted lamb, grilled ribeye steak, game meats, or aged cheeses like Comté or Saint-Nectaire.
