Domaine History

The history of Domaine Jacques Prieur began in 1868. The estate owns vineyards in prestigious Grands Crus and Premiers Crus across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

Terroir

Les Combettes lies on a south-east-facing slope above Puligny-Montrachet. The producer describes clay-limestone soil rich in stones.

Winemaking

The Chardonnay grapes were handpicked into small crates and pneumatically pressed as whole bunches. After cold settling, alcoholic fermentation took place entirely in oak barrels, followed by complete malolactic fermentation and 19 months of ageing in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

The wine was tasted in May 2017.
