Balansa is a family estate located in the heart of the Fitou appellation, in the Languedoc region. The domaine is committed to organic farming and low-intervention winemaking, focusing on small yields and old vines to craft expressive and authentic wines that reflect the richness of the Mediterranean terroir.

Terroir

Grown on schist and limestone soils typical of the Fitou appellation, the vineyards benefit from Mediterranean sunshine tempered by the influence of sea breezes. This environment allows for perfect ripening of the grapes while preserving balance and freshness.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color. The nose is intense and generous, with aromas of blackberries, ripe plums, garrigue herbs, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with well-integrated tannins, rich fruit, and a long, spicy finish with a touch of minerality.

A bold and expressive Fitou, combining Mediterranean warmth with elegance and finesse — the perfect reflection of the “Bel Soula” terroir.
