Domaine History

Maison Aegerter is a family-run estate based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy. Founded in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and later joined by his son Paul, the domaine has grown its reputation through innovation, respect for tradition, and an eclectic approach to Burgundy’s terroirs, producing wines from regional to Grand Cru levels.

Terroir

This Grand Cru hails from the prestigious Corton-Charlemagne appellation, located on the slopes of the Corton hill. The vineyard benefits from a mix of limestone and marl soils, excellent sun exposure, and high altitude, allowing for slow ripening and superb acidity in the grapes.

Tasting Notes

Golden yellow in color with luminous reflections. The nose is complex and refined, offering notes of citrus zest, white flowers, toasted almonds, and a hint of gunflint. On the palate, it’s powerful yet precise, with great tension, mineral depth, and a long, elegant finish marked by subtle oak and salinity.

An age-worthy Grand Cru Chardonnay, combining richness, finesse, and a striking mineral backbone.

Pairing

Perfect with lobster, scallops, creamy poultry dishes, or aged Comté cheese.
