Domaine History

Established in 1933, Domaine Miramont has been under the stewardship of the Chassillan family for three generations. Located in the southern Rhône Valley, the estate spans 13 hectares, with 10 hectares dedicated to the Vacqueyras appellation. Michel Chassillan, the current proprietor, practices biodynamic viticulture certified by Demeter, emphasizing harmony with nature and meticulous vineyard care.

Terroir

The vineyards are situated on the Garrigues plateau in Sarrians, characterized by Quaternary-era limestone gravels and pebbles atop Miocene and Pliocene brown clays. This unique terroir contributes to the wine’s balance, fine tannins, and structural complexity.

Tasting Notes

The 2021 vintage presents a deep violet hue. Aromas of strawberry, pomegranate, and blackberry lead to a suave and dense palate. The tannins are well-integrated, offering a texture with notable personality. The finish is persistent, marked by mineral notes and refreshing acidity.
