Sarget de Gruaud Larose is the second wine of Château Gruaud Larose in Saint-Julien. The château is recorded by the producer as a Second Growth in the 1855 classification.
Terroir
The exact 2020 technical sheet identifies Garonne gravel from the first Quaternary, deposited more than 600,000 years ago. Vinification took place in 50% wooden tanks and 50% cement tanks for 20 to 30 days. The wine was aged for 14 months in French fine-grain oak barrels, with 15% new oak.
