Histoire du Domaine

The **Hospices de Beaune**, founded in 1443, is Burgundy’s most emblematic charitable wine estate, traditionally known for its prestigious wine auctions. The **Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet “Cuvée Jean-Marc Brocard” 2020**, aged by **Gabriel d’Ardhuy** and exclusively acquired by **Vavin**, reflects the precision and minerality of one of Chablis’ most renowned Premier Cru terroirs, crafted with elegance and care.

Terroir

The **Côte de Léchet** vineyard lies on the left bank of the Serein River, with steep slopes and Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in fossilized marine sediments. This terroir is known for producing structured and mineral-driven Chardonnays, with bright acidity and strong aging potential, qualities enhanced by the careful élevage of Gabriel d’Ardhuy.

Notes de dégustation

Brilliant pale gold with green reflections. The nose is pure and expressive, offering aromas of citrus zest, green apple, white flowers, and chalky minerality. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and precise, with a beautiful balance between freshness and roundness, leading to a long, saline, and mineral-driven finish.

A refined and expressive Chablis 1er Cru — aged by Gabriel d’Ardhuy and acquired by Vavin, combining freshness, purity, and minerality with superb aging potential.
