Estate History
Maison Aegerter, established in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and today managed by his son Paul, is known for producing precise, terroir-driven wines across Burgundy’s prestigious appellations. The domaine works closely with partner growers and owns vineyards in key climats, including Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Champs Gains,” delivering wines of elegance and refinement.
Terroir
“Les Champs Gains” is one of the well-regarded Premier Cru vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet, positioned on slopes with excellent exposure and clay-limestone soils. These conditions bring finesse, minerality, and balance to the Chardonnay, allowing full aromatic expression while retaining freshness and structure.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale gold color. The nose is elegant and complex, with aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, pear, toasted almonds, and subtle buttery notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and structured, with vibrant acidity, creamy texture, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
A refined and harmonious Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru — combining aromatic complexity, freshness, and aging potential.
Pairing
Perfect with lobster, scallops, creamy poultry dishes, or soft cheeses like Brie de Meaux and Saint-Marcellin.
