Château Bouissel Fronton Chemin Faisan 2014

Fronton is one of the most iconic sub-region in Sud-Ouest, and is popular for its quality red wines made with a local grape variety named Negrette (iconic for its red flowers and savoury characters). This particular wine is made using grapes harvested from vines over 30 years of age. One year aging on fine lees and two more years in concrete tanks. Deep ruby in colour. Nose is fairly savoury and is dominated by black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, mix herbs, basil, tarragon, sage, mint, bell pepper, wood smoke, cloves, nutmeg and leather. Full-bodied, firm structure with plenty of dark fruits, juicy red plum, black olives, sweet spices, licorice, wood toast and gentle savouriness on the palate. Semi-dried sweet blueberry, black pepper, cloves and hint of smoke on the finish.
