Domaine History
Lionel Osmin & Cie is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rare indigenous grape varieties of Southwest France. This Vin de France Bouysselet 2022 showcases Bouysselet, an almost-forgotten native white grape from the Gaillac region, revived through sustainable viticulture and careful winemaking. The wine reflects the winery’s commitment to expressing the authenticity and remarkable diversity of the region’s historic vineyards.
Terroir
The grapes are grown in selected vineyards in Southwest France, where clay-limestone soils and a temperate climate provide ideal conditions for the slow and even ripening of this rare variety. Careful vineyard management preserves the grape’s natural freshness, aromatic complexity, and vibrant acidity.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale straw yellow with delicate green reflections. The nose reveals elegant aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom, ripe pear, white peach, and subtle herbal notes with hints of minerality. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refined, offering lively acidity balanced by a rounded texture, finishing with refreshing citrus and mineral nuances.
Pairing
Excellent with fresh seafood, grilled fish, oysters, shellfish, goat cheese, light poultry dishes, or seasonal vegetable cuisine. It also makes an elegant aperitif, highlighting its freshness and delicate aromatic profile.
