Founded in 1874, Speri is a historic family-run winery located in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. Renowned for its commitment to organic farming and traditional methods, the estate crafts wines that express the richness and authenticity of their terroir. “La Roggia” is Speri’s flagship Recioto, showcasing their expertise in the appassimento technique.

Terroir

The grapes for “La Roggia” come from terraced vineyards on limestone and clay soils within the Valpolicella Classico zone. Hand-harvested and air-dried using the traditional appassimento method, the grapes achieve remarkable concentration while retaining balance and freshness.

Notas de degustação

Deep ruby red with garnet highlights. The nose is rich and aromatic, with notes of dried cherries, figs, blackberry jam, cocoa, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is velvety and smooth, offering luscious dark fruit flavors, balanced sweetness, and a long, elegant finish with hints of chocolate and spice.

A refined and harmonious Recioto — sweet but fresh, with silky texture and superb balance, perfect for dessert or quiet contemplation.

Harmonização

Ideal with chocolate desserts, almond pastries, or blue cheeses like Gorgonzola and Roquefort. Also excellent enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine.
