Château de Ciffre is a high-altitude estate in the foothills of the Cévennes, owned by the Lorgeril family. The “Grand Vin” is the flagship cuvée, made from the best plots and old vines.

The vineyards are planted on limestone and schist soils at 300 to 400 meters altitude. This elevation, combined with Mediterranean and mountain influences, ensures slow ripening, vibrant acidity, and fine tannic structure — key elements for aging and complexity.

Intense ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet is rich and expressive, showing black cherry, wild herbs, pepper, and cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied and precise, with silky tannins, concentrated fruit, and a long, spicy finish supported by mineral freshness.
